Millys Retreat is situated in the grounds of 16th cent Penstowe Manor Park holiday village under 3 miles to excellent Sandymouth beach and approx 4 miles from the beaches at Bude, North Cornwall. A renovated end terraced Stowe style Bungalow offering very comfortable accommodation and the impressive Penstowe Manor facilities. The bungalow is set amidst Penstowe Manor 30 acres grounds; access to Penstowe Manor Indoor Swimming Pool,outdoor Stable Bar Restaurant, Indoor Bar and Entertainments Suite (good entertainment) Squash Courts, Badminton Courts, all of which are available all year is available at a modest cost (see under FACILITIES below). Free use of Penstowe Manor Outdoor Swimming Pool . Millys Retreat is let on the understanding that due to the impact of government lockdown/ guidelines the Penstowe Manor facilities such as swimming pools may not be available or if available may be subject to social distancing or some other restriction. Millys Retreat is just a 5 minutes walk into Kilkhampton village with its mini-supermarket and two Country Inn's (restaurant). Bude beach resort boasts a large range of attractions including boating up the canal,canal Bird Nature Reserve, a huge free open air swimming pool on the main beach, Bude Leisure Centre with indoor swimming pool and bowls, golf course and much more. Bude is renowned for its large classic sandy surfing beaches and spectacular coastline and walks. It is also known as a quieter alternative to busier resorts such as Newquay. Bedroom 1 has 1 double bed. Bedroom 2 has 2 single beds. Open plan living area. The kitchen area has an electric cooker, microwave, fridge. The lounge/dining area has a flat screen T.V. DVD. Bathroom with bath, overhead shower,washbasin and toilet. No pets. A few minutes stroll to off the road parking area for 2 or more cars. Electric is by Card Meter (£5 and £19 electric Cards from Penstowe Manor reception. Launderette by coin meter. Linen is supplied inclusive. Heating by wall mounted electric convector heaters in all rooms. Facilities: Penstowe Manor Indoor Swimming Pool is available during 2019 at the following prices per swim: Adults £5, Children aged 4 years and under Free, Children (5 years to 15 years)£4. The Penstowe Manor Indoor Pool, Indoor Squash Courts, Indoor Badminton Courts are open all year. Badminton, Squash and Tennis Courts are £5 per court per hour. Free use of Penstowe Manor Outdoor Swimming Pool open May 25 to Sept 7 weather permitting. The outdoor Stables Restaurant and Launderette are open late March to late November.
