Positive: Spacious and extremely well kitted out, everything you could want for a short stay. Nice of them to include things like olive oil, tea bags etc. Tram stop right outside and nice supermarket on ground floor of building.
Negative: The wifi is very glitchy, I reported this very soon after I arrived and the initial response 24 hours later was to simply re-tell me the wifi password. That wasn’t the problem, the problem is with the wifi itself, you have to keep re-booting the router which is located in the wardrobe. For two of the days I stayed there the wifi was virtually unusable and I clocked up a bill of over AUD 100.00 on roaming charges. Second issue is key pick up and drop off. The pick up place is 500m from the apartment or two tram stops, a real pain if you’re carrying suitcases. We had to check out by 8am on a Sunday morning to catch a flight and the shop where key had to be returned to didn’t open until 9am. I sent an email asking what to do but didn’t get a reply before we had to leave. Luckily for us our daughter lives in Melbourne so she came along early on the Sunday morning to pick up the key from us and hand it back. Even this wasn’t straight forward, the man in the USMart shop said that he needed a “code” before he could accept the key back, this was different to the code we were given when we picked up the key. All in all the wifi and key issues were a pain. Last thing to note as an FYI, the washing machine only works if you switch on the extractor fan switch in the bathroom, there are excellent notes about how everything works but this point should be added.
Summary: Almost perfect, great apartment, just sort out wifi and have a better key pick up and drop off arrangement
