The 'trip down from Stones' is dotted with small rapids here and there and passes 'Cedar Island' a stately, turn of the 20th century fishing camp, visited by five past presidents. Step just outside the back door and take a long leisurely walk, ski or snow shoe, on one of the many nearby hiking trails or just head out into the woods. Or drive to one of the many trail heads on the scenic North Country Trail or Brule State Forest trails. There are many area lakes. Nearby.
