Centrally located on the North Shore of Prince Edward Island in one of the Island's major summertime destinations, "Sunshine By the Sea" is a charming family-friendly paradise.
This 4+1 bedroom, 3 bathroom open-concept beach house features a large central area that serves as both a living room and a dining room, with an adjoining kitchen including a raised breakfast bar with barstools. The main floor is flooded with natural light thanks to the large windows and two sets of sliding glass doors that lead out to the expansive deck. Outside, you will find a barbecue/eating area as well as a sitting area with four Adirondack chairs. The main floor features one guest bedroom with a queen-sized bed and a full bathroom (inc. washer and dryer). There is also a den off the kitchen which can function as a 5th bedroom (potentially sleeps 2 on air mattress). Upstairs, you will find two more guest bedrooms with comfortable queen-sized beds, and a 3/4 bathroom. Escape to your own private oasis in your large sun-filled master bedroom/ensuite with its own fireplace and private deck overlooking the New London Bay.
"Sunshine By the Sea" is steps away from sandy shores and offers spectacular views of some of Canada's best sand dunes. Enjoy a morning coffee and watch the sun rise over the dunes or sip a glass of wine under a full moon reflecting on the water. Blue herons and eagles are a common sight in the Hebrides.
Located in the exclusive gated community of "the Hebrides", guests are free to enjoy amenities such as our heated pool, 9-hole (par 3) golf course, and clubhouse which are located a short drive down the red dirt road into the heart of the community.
Named by Condé Nast as one of the top islands to visit in 2020, Prince Edward Island beaches are some of the best in Canada, with long stretches of white soft sand that are just perfect for strolling. "Sunshine By the Sea" is located minutes from Cavendish in PEI's National Park.
Prince Edward Island is a food and/or golf lover's destination. You don't have to travel far to be graced with an abundance of picturesque lighthouses and breathtaking scenery, and there are 6 golf courses within ten minutes of the Hebrides. Nearby, Cavendish offers fun for the whole family with a water park, an amusement park, parasailing, museums, restaurants, as well as shopping at the Boardwalk and Avonlea Village. Take part in local summer festivals as well as our now world famous Fall Flavours Festival - an extravaganza food event throughout the month of September (www.fallflavours.ca). September is a beautiful month on Prince Edward Island, and you can take advantage of low off-season rates.

Summary: Our immediate family is spread between Newfoundland & Toronto, it consists of 6 adults and 4 children. We have been getting together on Prince Edward Island on a semi-annual basis since 2015, unfortunately this was interrupted due to Covid. This year we were fortunate to be able to get together once again on the Island and lucky enough to be able to rent this property located in the Hebrides. By far this location was the best yet. It was a fantastic location for our four grandchildren aged 6-10. They loved the club house and all it had to offer, they would visit the heated out door pool at least twice a day. We were close to Cavendish Beach and many sites, their favorite was Sandspit. The property was well maintained and more the met our needs. People within the community were very friendly and gave us a great feeling of belonging. We look forward to returning in two years.
