Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: The location was brilliant and the bus stop was just outside of the property affording easy access to public transport. One of the rooms had a small fan which was needed due to the warmth of the property, but it would be much nicer with one person room and something a little larger. Having 2 separate bedrooms was great. The staff I interacted with were all very pleasant and helpful, and keen to resolve any issues that came up. The deposit of £150 against any damages was repaid promptly albeit I have never encountered this when staying in similar properties before. Overall the property seemed fairly clean, and was presented with a degree of thought to the decor.
Negative: I paid £480 & don't feel that this was anything exceptional for the money.The beds were not very comfortable, the mattresses were pretty basic, flat and hard. The towels were quite thin and not luxurious as one might expect from the title given to the property. The TV we couldn't get the fire stick remote to work but it ended up we were out much of the time anyway so it was inconsequential in the end. There was a mix up with the key code which was easily resolved once I was able to get in touch with someone and so only a minor inconvenience at the time when we were hard pressed for time anyway to be somewhere else. A few minor discrepancies such as the shower over the bath remaining on shower operation and being unable to revert to use the taps being quite an old system, and in the bathroom a really unpleasant almost mouldy type smell which was not particularly masked by the reed diffuser in there. It was quite warm in the property but being on the ground floor, it didn't feel too safe to leave windows anything more than slightly ajar on the catch. Could have done with a better range of glasses as only pint size ones or mugs available, would have been nice to have wine glasses. The integral door covering the washing machine did not close in the kitchen, and a few other points not worth mentioning here.
