This is where you want to come to be in a serene environment. This is where medicine is created and healing occurs.
My place is close to great views, restaurants and dining, family-friendly activities, and nightlife. You’ll love my place because of the neighborhood, the light, the comfy bed, the kitchen, and the coziness. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids).
The space
The house was built in the 1800's and the books say it was moved to this land in 1936. It has been remodeled and now its an open floor plan. There's a mirror in the living room because we hold a dance class on Wednesday evening. The second bedroom is partitioned with tapestries so there is no door. The tv is sometimes unable to play DVDs if it gets deprogrammed ... which happens if the batteries fall out of the remote. . but we have several channels to choose from if you feel like watching.
I've created several medicinal and edible gardens for humans and other creatures. Watch out for poison ivy as this year it's been happily working it's way into different parts of the property. Birds love it though.
Avid bird watchers will like swinging on the back porch and hearing the many different songs of the birds that reside or migrate here. There are so many butterflies and fast lizards to study as well. Or you could sip coffee or tea and view the flowers bursting into bloom from the kitchen window. The house also contains an old piano that sounds strange but it's fun to play if you feel inclined to be musical. My apothecary lies just outside and you may see me pop in to blend some fresh teas or other herbal remedy. I'm happy to share my healing spaces with you.

If you need anything you may call / text or if I'm there in my apothecary just knock on the door! The Herbalist is there to help.
Other things to note
If I'm available, I like to make my guests feel at home by providing tea from my homegrown plants and fresh artisanal herb bread. I want to help people to feel nourished and cozy when they stay at my place.

Summary: My daughter and I just spent a night at this place. First, prior to booking, we pre-arranged with the owner to arrive at 2:00 p.m., which is earlier than the posted check in time of 4:00 p.m. We were in town for a wedding and wanted to have time prior to our event to freshen up. We were just heading to the property at 2:00, and were contacted to find out our arrival time. Owner had forgotten about our early arrival. She was apologetic about that miscommunication, but we did not gain access to the property until 3:45. We had to leave for our engagement by 4:00. The property was very cluttered. The front porch had a bed on it that was inhabited by a long haired cat. There were cardboard boxes of stuff, a large box of old shoes, among other general clutter. The back porch was not much better. There would be no swinging on the back porch and enjoying the birds. Right outside the door was a large set of drums, toys, among other clutter. The yard itself was overgrown with bushes, trees, and plants. I can understand that, given her botanical use for the property. Inside the lighting was poor. We could barely see to apply makeup, etc. The garbage had not been taken out. We felt as if we were running people out of their home so we could spend the night. We were under the impression we were renting a rental unit, not someone’s private residence. Somewhere around 4:00 a.m. we were awakened by a loud scratching sound coming from the kitchen. After exploring we figured it was coming from something trying to scratch under the house? Very creepy. On a positive note, the beds were clean and comfortable. The house appeared fairly clean, but was odd with so much clutter and personal effects everywhere. Damage deposit in addition to cleaning fee seemed excessive for a one night rental from 4:00 pm to 11:00 a m Maybe just a bit too eclectic for our taste.
