Bondhu is a listed traditional stone built house full of character in the highland town of Aberfeldy and is on the site of original flax spinners cottages.
The house is ideally situated to enjoy the best of the countryside in Highland Perthshire during the day and is within easy walking distance of the town centre where there are restaurants, shops and pubs in the evening.
Whether you want an outdoor holiday walking, cycling, white water rafting, playing golf or a more relaxed time visiting castles, some retail therapy at the well known House of Bruar (the Harrods of the north), or having a close encounter with deer at Highland Adventure Safaris and coffee and cake at The Watermill Bookshop it is all right on the doorstep.
With Loch Tay to the west, Loch Tummel, Rannoch and the Road to the Isles to the north and the River Tay all the way to Dundee to the east, Aberfeldy is a perfect central location for exploring Scotland!
Bondhu's private garden provides the perfect getaway where you can relax and enjoy the sunny days with lovely views of the hills which surround the town and evenings with friends over a barbecue.
Accommodation:
From Bondhu you can easily walk into the centre of town to all its amenities. To the rear of the property at the back door is a key safe so access is available if you arrive late in the evening.
The ground floor comprises of the back porch/utility which has a washing machine, microwave, fridge-freezer and ample room for coats and shoes, this opens into the spacious fully equipped kitchen. This room is the heart of the house where family and friends can gather around the table to enjoy themselves. We provide lots of basic supplies like salt pepper, oils, vinegar, herbs etc. and a good selection of pans, crockery and glassware. Kitchen linen is there with plenty of tea towels a hand towel and napkins also a paper kitchen roll and plenty of dishwasher tablets, washing powder and cleaning detergents. If you can think of it hopefully we have too if not let us know! Tesco & Asda deliver into Aberfeldy and we would be happy to receive the delivery for you if it is practical. The back door leads directly out to a patio which is a south facing sun trap complete with table and chairs for outside dining. There is a washing line at the top of the garden and an indoor clothes drying rack.
The cosy sitting room has a living flame gas fire and there is gas central heating and double glazing throughout the house so it is nice and warm even on those coldest days! There is a smart television so if you know your password you can use your Netflix subscription on our tv.
Upstairs there are two bedrooms; one master bedroom with a king size bed and en suite shower room and a further twin room next to the family bathroom which has a bath and separate walk in electric shower. All bed linen and towels are provided. In the bathrooms we have our luxurious selection of 'The Scottish Soap Company' hand wash, shampoo, conditioner and body wash.
Outside to the rear of the house is our gated carpark with space for one vehicle. There is further on-street parking available free of charge on Kenmore Street. From the carpark steps lead to the private garden which is for your use for the duration of your stay. There are various seating areas here and a gas barbecue. Please feel free to help yourselves to the fruit growing at the top of the garden!
