Blueberry Ridge is a unique 4800 square foot estate nestled on eleven acres that adjoin a 100-acre working blueberry farm. The estate features two casually elegant modern wings and an 1830 historic farmhouse, all tastefully connected and custom furnished to provide you with the ultimate Maine vacation, family reunion, wedding or retreat. Blueberry Ridge sits at the base of a beautiful blueberry hill which changes color with the seasons. Blueberry Ridge includes a large barn, tennis court, woods with trails for hiking, adjacent ponds for swimming, fishing and kayaking, and lawns appropriate for family games or even a wedding. The lawns are large enough for a tent and plenty of room for bands and dancing at your reception. (Inquire for arrangements and pricing if you would like to have an event on the property). Two modern wings flank this 1830’s farmhouse. The modern wings feature a spectacular heated indoor swimming pool housed in a bright and airy two story, vaulted ceiling pool house with modern sliding doors connecting it to the foyer and gameroom. Windows in the great room look in to the pool area. The eat-in kitchen is very large and fully renovated and equipped. The master suite with its bath is private and large in the second modern wing. Sandwiched between the two modern wings is the original 1830’s farmhouse with the formal dining room, traditional parlor, three bedrooms and three bathrooms. All areas are recently updated and beautifully decorated and the wood floors throughout make this home warm and welcoming. Upon entering the first floor, you will find the 12′ by 38′ indoor pool and its built in hot tub with its magnificent two story pineboard pool house to your left. Straight ahead is the great room with two story high fireplace, built in bookcases and display cases stocked with games and books and a 40″ television with surround sound. A casual eating area is to the right with a bar connected to the kitchen. Beyond the great room is the game room with a pub size pool table. Through another door is the pool bath with shower and beyond that the changing room easily accessible by a door directly to the pool and hot tub. Back at the entry to Blueberry Ridge, you turn right to access the expansive kitchen and on into the 1830’s section of the house. The formal, traditional dining room with original wide plank flooring and parlor are next. A den with queen bed and private bath are off the dining room. Through the parlor with cozy seating for reading and relaxing in front of its fireplace, you enter again into the modern wing with master bedroom suite with bath with separate toilet room, enormous shower, and plenty of room for dressing. The master bedroom includes seating for morning coffee, a queen bed, loads of windows and French doors to a deck overlooking fields and blueberry farm. Across the front of the parlor and dining room is the sunroom with greenhouse plants and breakfast area. Enjoy sitting in the sun and warmth even in the deep cold of winter while savoring your morning coffee. Access the second floor through the central staircase. The landing leads to an elegant well lit hall with two flanking bedrooms one with a queen brass bed and the other a full size brass bed. Two totally new bathrooms, each with a shower are accessed from the hallway. At the end of the hall is a large redecorated bedroom with twins that convert to a king size bed.
