This cottage is located near the beach and in an area with good shopping. Malpeque Outer Range Lighthouse and Cape Tryon Lighthouse are local landmarks, and some of the area's attractions include Burlington Amusement Park and Haunted Mansion. Stanley Bridge Marine Aquarium and Jurassic Bart's Dinosaur Museum and Petting Farm are also worth visiting. Relax and recharge in this comfortable cottage with million-dollar views of the blue blue water of the Gulf of Saint Lawrence from almost every window. Enormous windows in the open-concept living room/kitchen area allow full enjoyment of the expanse. Bedrooms include a spacious master with queen bed and cozy kids' room with two single beds. The living room futon easily converts into a comfortable queen-sized bed. Blue Horizon's kitchen has all you need to steam your lobsters and mussels, or try some of the delicious offerings of local restaurants. Full washer and dryer in the well-appointed bathroom. Wrap-around deck for morning coffee, afternoon refreshments, and more of that incredible view. BBQ and internet provided.
The real draw is the gorgeous red PEI sand beach, just 150 metres from the front door. Walk for miles in either direction and explore the vibrant cliffs of PEI's north shore, complete with cliff swallows darting in and out of their homes. Swim in the warmest water north of North Carolina. Get to know the rhythms of the tides, the location of the sand bars you can walk out to, the shells and pieces of sea glass you can find. Bask in the warmth of the PEI sunshine, but don't forget your sunscreen! Best of all, let the sound of the water lull you into bliss - you'll actually be able to hear it all day and all night, since the neighborhood is small and the beach is never crowded.
You may never want to venture further than the lovely beach, but if you do, you'll find the fun of Cavendish less than 45 minutes away. Anne's Land offers history of the island and Lucy Maud Montgomery, the creator of Anne of Green Gables. It also tempts all ages with miniature golf, amusement parks, and other attractions, not to mention the world-class golf course at Green Gables.
Blue Horizon is centrally located in PEI, making it easy to explore this beautiful island. Twenty minutes away is the town of Kensington, where you can find groceries, a pharmacy, a liquor store, a post office, gas stations, restaurants and other retail establishments.
