In summer the gardens and fields attract Large Spotted Woodpeckers, Curlews and Nut Hatches. Barn and Tawny Owls nest in the field and come hunting at dusk as Buzzards and Hawks fly across the sky. Our hedgehog awakens and Bleak House Cottage is, once again, at the heart of the undiscovered Peak District at this glorious time of the year.
