Summary: I need to start with this: As you come up to Snowshoe, look for Powderidge Rd (large blue information signs as you come into Snowshoe Resort). Turn Left onto Powderidge Rd (hairpin left, then hairpin right as you come up the hill). At the top of the hill (maybe 200 yards up) you will see the sign for, Black Bear Crossing. This unit is in the back corner from the entrance. What we loved: Comfortable living room seating for about 7 + two bar stools. Kitchen was workable - not a lot of counter space, but you can make it work. Lots of cabinets & a pantry. Decent - sized refrigerator. Beds were comfortable and the towels and linens were in good shape. Parking is plentiful in front of the unit and over-flow parking across from it. It is a short, 40 yard walk across the parking area to the slopes. I would still consider it, ski in/ski out. We stopped by the house for lunch each day. Fireplace and hot tub were great and fully functional. You'll have deer watching you eat breakfast every morning. Grill was great (propane). What could use improvement: We found out on the first night that we didn't have any dishwasher packets. Come on, leave some dishwasher packets. There was some liquid dish soap and a few clothes washing pods. The breaker for two bathrooms kept tripping. The outlets in the master bath and bathroom by the entry are on the same circuit as the lights (they shouldn't be) and kept tripping. You'll need to reset the GFCI in these bathrooms.
