Superb setting, beautifully converted to the highest standard but keeping some of the original features, windows and character. Bishops is an ideal holiday for peace and tranquility in a unique/quirky grade II listed building but only a short drive to all the amenities and attractions this outstanding area provides. The chapel has a wood burner, an Aga, and full central heating making it really cosy for those romantic winter breaks . The kitchen area is on the ground floor level of the original chapel with the lounge/dining area and twin bedroom raised by 7 stairs therefore creating a galleried area from the lounge/diner looking over the kitchen. The twin bedroom is off the lounge. The old schoolhouse area of the chapel accommodates the hallway with original hymn book cupboard, the family bathroom with a large freestanding shower, bath, basin and WC, double bedroom and bunk bedroom. The double bedroom with its access to the sun patio is off the hallway and then the children's bunk bedroom with its own en-suite is access from the double bedroom. The bunk bedroom, also has access to the sun patio. The grassed area of the garden is south facing and the sun patio directly off the kitchen, double bedroom and bunk bedroom is a delightful sun trap, both in the summer and winter. There is a charcoal BBQ and plenty of seating for that all important al fresco dining. Bishops chapel overlooks farmland on 3 sides and the west facing decking is a joy to sit on and watch the sun set, the birds, rabbits and occasional deer, and then once dark, the unpolluted skies offer an amazing view of the stars. There is no better way to spend a quiet evening after a busy day exploring the area or spending time on the beautiful, blue flag beaches , whilst sipping on your favourite tipple . The decking, patio and garden are all accessed directly from the lounge, double bedroom, bunk bedroom and kitchen. There are windows (some original) on all four aspects of the chapel and they ensure this is a very light and airy building. The chapel has a real homely feel to it and the lounge has 2 large leather sofas offering plenty of space for all guests to relax. There is a large bean bag for lounging and 6 dining chairs around the extendable dining table. All mod cons are provided for a comfortable stay, these include BT Vision TV, DVD player and a wide selection of DVDs, radio, CD player, docking station and CDs, free Wi-Fi access, Bluetooth speaker, children's and adult games and books. All linen, towels, heating and first basket of logs are included in the price. A fantabulous place to stay. The twin bedroom has a standard single and another raised singled with a step up of about 18 inches. We constantly maintain and upgrade Bishops chapel to ensure it remains to be a beautiful, well kept, loved holiday home for us and our guests. We have been offering Bishops as a holiday home since 2007 with many return guests and year on year increase in lettings. Our guest books are full of very satisfied guests who vote it a 5 star accommodation.
