Business reopens for Victoria Day Weekend 2018 Birchwood Camp is located less than 3 hours from Toronto,or 30 minutes North of Huntsville, we're just 60 minutes from Algonquin Park in the heart of cottage country. We offer our guests the opportunity to explore Lake Cecebe by bike, boat or hiking. This Birchwood Camp two-bedroom housekeeping cottage is lakefront with fully equipped kitchen, outdoor toilet, dock and large screened porche. The cottage overlooks the sparkling waters of Lake Cecebe, in the Almaguin Highlands, just 60 minutes from the gates of Algonquin Park. Common fire pit at each campsite. Great fishing and swimming. Boat rentals available. Fire wood available. Private dock and boat launch available to Birchwood Camps guests. With some of the best fishing around ensure you bring your rod and tackle to catch the big one! Fishing And More! Take a canoe trip down the Magnetawan River or fish for the big ones while you watch the sun rise or set over the lake. Take advantage of almost 40 miles of waterway for fishing or just boating, You can expect to find an abundance of Northern Pike, Pickerel, Saugar Pike, Small Mouth Bass, Perch and Catfish can be caught right off your dock and Lake Trout can be found in nearby water. The villages of Burks Falls and Magnettawan are just a 10 min. drive away. Both towns are accessible by water, both have great shopping, food & butcher shops, an LCBO and town docks. Kids love Santa's Village, in Bracebridge , Ont. It's approx. an hours drive from the camp. It makes a great day trip and some adults enjoy being an "elf for a day" too. Cabins and camper has full use of the private docks and swimming areas. Paddle boat, canoes and motor boat rentals are available. Advanced booking required. You may bring your own boat as well, however a docking fees will be charged.
