The beautifully decorated Lake Cabin is Perfect for a Romantic Couples getaway!! Big Island is located on Lake Minnetonka, only minutes from Minneapolis. The cabin is located on 1 acre of wooded land with a fabulous view of the lake. It is a wonderful get-away from all the pressures of life. Sit on one of the two decks and relax as you enjoy the views of boats sailing by and the glow of the amber setting sun! Big Island is located between Excelsior and Wayzata, both of which are filled with restaurants and shops. You can drive your boat to the public docking at either town. Excelsior is 2 miles away from cabin and Wayzata 4 miles away. A quick minutes boat ride to a fun fabulous dinner out on the lake! And if you want solitude, you can spend time hiking around the island and see where the original amusement park used to be. This is a beautiful cabin where you can enjoy nature, yet still be close to urban delights. *Please note: This property is accessible only by boat. Upper deck: Has a round glass table with 4 swivel chairs for morning coffee and breakfast. It overlooks the gorgeous view of the lake. Lower deck (which sits off the water): has a high top table, 4 swivel bar stools and potted flowers at your feet. There you can enjoy playing cribbage or cards with cocktails and listen to the lapping waves. Note- There is no Wifi. Use your own cell data or create a hot spot. Inside cabin features include: -Beautiful cedar woodwork throughout the cabin and ceilings - Tiled floors -Stove, toaster oven, microwave, new refrigerator 2020 -Bathroom with jetted tub -Outdoor cedar shower -Beautiful open loft cedar bedroom with queen bed overlooking the living room. -Sectional couch- no pullout sleeper. (Purchasing one soon!) We offer a queen sized electric blow up air mattress- inflates and deflates in two minutes -Samsung smart TV Everything is beautifully decorated with an eye for details and enjoyment! Tie up to the 100 foot dock. It's great for fishing and the sunnies are always biting! *Fishers- This bay is one of Lake Minnetonka's prized bass fishing spots (walleyes, northerns, bass, and muskies). A large fire pit, which overlooks the bay with a commanding view of the lake. It's complete with large boulders and six Adirondack chairs to sit and roast marsh mellows for s'mores. We supply limited firewood. Please bring a couple additional firewood bundles for longer bigger fires. There are 4 ] kayaks available to rent -$50 for 3 days or $75 for the week, per kayak. There are several full service marinas that are close to the island. For overnight vehicle and boat trailer parking use Grays Bay Landing, 17232 Grays Bay Blvd. Minnetonka Also in Orono - 3366 North Shore Drive, Orono, MN We cannot do any parties or more than 4 guests due to our limited septic and well system. We also do not want the wear and tear of our property and furnishings. This is an upscale, exceptionally clean and well maintained property. It is perfect for a Romantic Couple Getaway! We are happy to share our piece of paradise with mature, responsible, and respectful renters! We also enjoy escaping out to the island often to relax as well.
