Pull into the driveway to level parking and take 3 steps up on the porch and enter the front door. The 1st floor has a 1/2 bath, master bedroom with king bed, on suite bathroom with shower, cabinets and drawers, walk-in closet with shelves and coat hangers. The 1st floor also has a fully stocked kitchen with microwave, toaster oven, toaster, electric can opener, glass top range with regular/convection oven, large refrigerator/freezer with ice maker, crock-pot, coffee pot, dishwasher, garbage disposal, great lighting, and lots of cabinet space to store your food. Adjoining the kitchen is an open concept great room. The dining table seats up to 8. The living room seats 8 with 2 leather recliners,1 leather electric loveseat, 2 leather executive chairs, and 2 directors chairs. Just the flip of a switch turns on the gas fireplace with a stone hearth. Also featured is a 60' H.D.TV with Direct TV, HDMI cord ready to plug your device in without any cords to hook up, blue ray player, wi-fi, weather station, best of all lots of glass to enjoy the 180 deg. view. Then walk out 1 of the 3 sliding glass doors to the covered wrap around deck (the main feature of the house) for a spectacular 180 view of Maggie Valley and long range views to the N.E. Sit in 1 of the 2 rockers,2 motion chairs, or lounge on the Adirondack furniture. The downstairs has its own access door or you can go down the stairs in the living room. The downstairs has its own living area with gas fireplace, dining table with 4 chairs, TV, wi-fi, leather queen size sleeper sofa and matching chair with ottoman, coffee table, built-in desk , and lots of games & puzzles. Bathroom has a tub/shower combo, lots of cabinet and counter space. The bedroom has 2 twin beds, a dresser, nightstand ,8' of mirrored closet with coat hangers. The living area has lots of windows to see the mountain views. The house has ceiling fans in all rooms except bathrooms. You can enjoy the year around cool weather by opening any of the 22 screened windows and doors for the fresh air lovers or turn on the central a/c and heat to your desired level of comfort. ( you rarely need a/c, but you have it if you need it) Outside you have an e-z access driveway and parking on both levels.(flat- no steps to bottom floor) Next to the bottom floor door you will find a Weber charcoal grille, and a table with 2 directors chairs. It's nice to sit outside and grille in the comfortable mountain air while looking at a beautiful view of the mountains. This house has a variety of landscaping, flowering plants both domestic and wild (such as rhododendron, mountain laurel,& flame azalea's), depending on the month you are there. You have access to miles of developed and undeveloped roads to hike on. The roads from U.S.19 to our house are paved and maintained by our H.O.A.

Summary: We absolutely loved this house! The views are breathtaking, and the fall colors were phenomenal, even though we were there in late October. We have rented a few other properties in Maggie Valley, and Heaven’s Balcony far surpassed them all. The drive up and down the steep mountain road was worth it to stay in this lovely property. The kitchen was well appointed, the king bed was very comfortable, and the family room seating was top notch. We would not hesitate to rent this property again.
