Great vacation spot! Wasa Lake (near Cranbrook/ Kimberly) has it all - white sandy beaches, boating, hiking, biking, fishing, golfing and more! Located 4 hours from Calgary or Lethbridge. Wasa Lake is just 10 minutes to Fort Steele Heritage Town, 20 minutes to Cranbrook and Kimberly, and 40 minutes to Fairmont Hot Springs! Wasa Lake is known as the warmest lake of the Rockies! Cabin sleeps 4 people, and is clean and comfy - 1 bdrm and a queen futon in living room area. Full kitchen with fridge, stove,and microwave. There is a 3-piece bathroom, and a new washer/dryer. Large outside deck (9' by 28') with bar-b-q and outside eating area. The cabin is well insulated so it stays cool in summer (it also has heating and A/C). Also included is an RV trailer (about 18 ' long) under a roof cover (to keep it cooler) that is right across from cabin - can be used for sleeping for 2-3 people. There is also a power pole for RV hook-up. Cabin is located right in the resort community of Wasa Lake. It is on a 1/2 acre and has nicely landscaped yard with underground sprinklers. Lots of trees, and very private yard. Fully fenced which is great for smaller children to play safely. You can enjoy privacy after a day's outing at the busy lake, and relax around a nice fire in the evening. Bring your clothes and food, and you're ready! Short walk to lake (1+ block = 5 minutes maximum!) Wasa Lake also has a paved path all around the lake which is great for walking, biking, etc. Wasa Lake is a provincial park, has three beautiful beaches and two have large, groomed lawns before you step onto the beaches. A great place for sunbathing and picnics, swimming and boating. Also, if you are a dirt bike or quad enthusiast, there are lots of trails in the area. Another fun adventure nearby is a trip to the undeveloped natural hot springs. There are no cabins across the road (large forested acreage). As there are cabins nearby, no late night parties allowed.
