The villa is a recently restored 19th century country villa with private swimming pool and small basketball ct set in its own idyllic olive grove, about 2km from the lovely town of 'San Vito Dei Normanni' in the heart of Puglia. The original building is over 185 years old with many period features from the 3 foot wide kitchen wall to the Puglian style doorways. Its extra thick walls keep the villa delightfully cool in summer but we also have airconditioning. There are 2 large bedrooms, one double, the other with 2 singles. There is a sleeper couch in the sitting room. In the covered outdoor entertainment area there is also a bbq and pizza oven. It is only 3 mins drive (you do need your car in Puglia)from San Vito with it's hidden shops, restaurants and caves, 10 mins from Carovigno's Michelin starred restaurant and 10 mins from the sea, easy driving distance from baroque Lecce, 'the white city Ostuni, Alberrobello and much more. The villa is suitable for children with lots of areas to play, pool to swim in and basketball court to shoot some hoops. There is also a cot, high chair, pram and steriliser for babies. During summer there are fig, cherry, lemon and pomegranate trees to eat from plus grapes on the vine. There are herbs all over the garden so plenty to cook with. There is a roof space for your private glass of wine with a view but only for the adults. The house is gated so plenty of secure parking for your car and the house is alarmed. Flying into brindisi is ideal because it is only 20 minutes from the house and the airport and car rental there are really efficient but Bari is only 90 mins away and Naples a three hour drive. It really is a place to relax away from it all,a retreat from daily life while being near enough to ostuni, caravigno and San Vito should you need some shopping or good food. Enjoy!
