5 Bedroom House in Red Lodge

Volney Creek Ranch is a working horse and cattle ranch located a short distance from beautiful Red Lodge, MT. The main house on the ranch is available for rental and is perfect for family gatherings, fishing expeditions, corporate meetings, Fall hunting trips and general "getaways" from our busy life styles. Our home sleeps 8-10 people comfortably with 5 bedrooms and 3.5 baths. The Great Room has two large wood burning fireplaces with a viewing porch to relax in and enjoy the incredible views of the Beartooth Mountain just minutes away. Cable TV and WiFi are available.
Horseback riding is no longer available on the ranch due to crazy increases in insurance pricing. For those that love to fish, there is world-class fly fishing minutes away on beautiful streams and rivers such as the Yellowstone, Stillwater, Rock Creek, the Rosebud creeks to name just a few.
For those who just want to relax, get away from it all and refresh body and mind, the wrap-around porch and lounging chairs are a perfect place to "unwind" and enjoy Montana Big Sky views and star-filled nights. With no night time light pollution, star gazing at night in the summer months is amazing!
Located literally at the foot of the Beartooth Mountains, Volney Creek Ranch is 15 miles away from the quaint cowboy town of Red Lodge, Montana and 65 miles from Yellowstone National Park.
After mid- October we will be closing the VRBO availability for the winter season and reopening in early April 2022. It does snow a lot here in Montana and given our remote location we cannot guarantee easy access to the ranch in the winter months. Spring is beautiful here at the ranch so please check the calendar for available dates staring in early April.
Also, please note that due to the very short rental season here in Montana and the very unique nature of our rental, we are required to follow a "strict" cancelation policy per the VRBO guidelines. That means that if you cancel at least 60 days before your arrival, we will refund 50% your deposit. However, if cancelling less than 60 days before your arrival we will not refund your deposit as it is very difficult to fill the calendar with other potential visitors. We hope you understand the need for this policy.
