Pollclabber Cottage is set in a rural hideaway on the Burren way, five kilometres from the wild Atlantic Ocean. This beautifully architecturally restored cottage, flooded with natural light is very comfortable with an amazing wood stove in the open plan seating area which warms this double height zone up magnificently and encourages reading, watching films or playing scrabble etc. There are magnificent walks/cycles straight from the cottage on quiet rural roads, part of the Burren way and green pathways, with magnificent views of the Atlantic and the Aran Islands. These trails continue from the house all the way to Ballyvaughan across the magnificent Limestone landscape, part of the Burren National park, famous for its flora. Horse riding is available within walking distance of the cottage to enable one explore further into the Burren landscape. Fishing from the rocks along the coast, surfing at Fanore or Lahinch, caving in the nearby caves such as Doolin or the Ailwee or rock climbing should whet the appetite of the outdoor enthusiast. The cottage is located close to Lisdoonvarna and Doolin. Doolin, 5 kms away, is world renowned for Irish traditional music and has ferries to the Aran Islands and Cliffs of Moher, a world heritage site. Lisdoonvarna is 3 kms away with its famous matchmaking festival in September. Cliffs of Moher is approximately15 minutes away by car can be explored directly or by walking the trail from Liscannor to Doolin.
