Sitting right in the heart of Beaverstone Bay, we offer a newly renovated two bedroom cottage and sauna on a private island, with the most beautiful panoramic view. The cottage features an open concept living room, dining room and kitchen. The kitchen includes a gas stove, fridge, and full cooking and dining supplies. The wrap around patio has the view of a lifetime, overlooking the gorgeous bay. Steps away from the cottage is a full cedar wood fire sauna for the ultimate relaxation experience. The bathhouse is located adjacent to the cottage with full washroom amenities. The beautiful waters of Beaverstone are a true treat to experience whether you just want to relax and take in views; bring a camera to photograph the unique bent cedar trees and vibrant sunsets, or spend a day on the water kayaking/ canoeing, boating or fishing. There's truly something for everyone to enjoy. Get ready to lay back, relax and enjoy your vacation as soon as you hit the Killarney highway; a 67km drive that is an experience on its own. On the winding road you will feel the hustle bustle of every day life leave you and you may even get to see some serious wildlife. Moose, deer, black bears, wolves are just a few habitants of the forest that surround the village. After wildlife watching, continue your adventure by stopping at the provincial park. Killarney's magnificent landscapes once inspired by the legendary Group of Seven artists, with its provincial park upholding its pristine reputation for beauty, and activities of all kinds. This iconic 645 square kilometre wilderness landscape showcases the wild Georgian Bay coast of pink granite ; La Cloche Mountains' white quarts ridges and over 50 clear, sapphire lakes set upon Jack Pine hills. The town of Killarney itself is 10km from the provincial park, and must see pit stop before you continue your journey to our cabin escape. An old logging and fishing town, Killarney is considered a small tight knit community, and offers impressive local eateries, relaxing pubs. we recommend stopping at the world famous Herbert's fisheries for fish lovers, where locals cook up fresh fish daily, and is voted one of the top fish and chip restaurants in Canada! Killarney also offers a boat launch, which makes it easier for those that would like to boat into the cottage independently, located beside the fish and chip stand After you fill your bellies and take in the amazing views of the North channel right from the main street, you will want to head back out the Killarney highway about 11km to the Chickanishing creek. This is where we will meet you should you require transportation to the cottage. If desired, there is a hiking trail right at the boat launch, that is approximately 2km loop trail that is moderate in difficulty. This is a great way to take in the views of the Georgian bay and learn a little about Killarney Heritage along the way. The boat trip is hard to beat, a 30 minute trip down the North channel bordered by the majestic pink granite and a wildlife hub, where we often see critters roaming about. Along the way you will pass by Mill Lake Lodge. The Lodge has much to offer, stop on by for a bite to eat (contact for a reservation), a friendly chat, or any other inquiries you may have about the area or services we have to offer. ADDITIONAL COSTS (Provided by Mill Lake Lodge) Transportation (to and from the island) $300.00 Water Craft - Additionally, you can also arrange a boat rental (water craft) to assure your own ability to tour the waters in a 16ft aluminum Yamaha boat, equip with a 20hp, 4-stroke motor. Gas and oil are extra, and can be provided at location. Tour - Boat tours are also available for booking, upon availability. This tour can be customized to your interests; guided fishing, lake/islands sightseeing tour, shore lunch, etc. Please inquire for details.
