Awelfor is a detached cottage in Berea, a rural hamlet on the North Pembrokeshire coast, ideally situated between St Davids (4 miles) and Porthgain (2 miles), Awelfor boasts stunning views of the Irish Sea across neighbouring fields, from Strumble Head with its lighthouse in the North East, to Carn Pen Beri in the West - the sunsets are spectacular! The cottage is beautifully appointed, with vaulted beams in the living room, slate floors throughout, wooden windows made by local craftsmen and a woodburning stove. It is decorated with Welsh woven wool throws , handmade curtains and blankets from local mills. The Pembrokeshire coast path is on your doorstep. Abereiddy, the closest beach, with its famous Blue Lagoon is just 1km away and Traeth Llyfn, a hidden gem, is 2km along the coast path. Whitesands beach, a surfers paradise, is 5 miles away. The area is perfect for kayaking, climbing, coasteering and cycling. The ancient cathedral city of St David's, Britain's smallest city, named after Wales' patron saint, boasts a range of shops, cafes, restaurants and galleries. Local places to eat include the Sloop Inn and The Shed (great fish & chips!) at Porthgain and Crug Glas country house. Changeover day is FRIDAY so the regular peak season booking period runs from Friday to Friday, although we may be able to be a little more flexible on short breaks etc out of season.
