“The Barn” is a beautiful, rustic river house conveniently located 2 hours from New Orleans, Baton Rouge or Jackson on the scenic Bogue Chitto River. The Barn is the perfect place for a relaxing weekend getaway or a week long family gathering. There are 3½ acres including a pond and river access with a private sandy beach. It is an ideal setting for swimming, floating, canoeing or napping! Bring your own tubes or close by there are canoe and tube rentals. Cozy and comfortable, the Barn is 2500 square foot 2 story house. The large open first floor has a fully stocked kitchen, dining area, and living area with fireplace, 3 twin day beds, bathroom and utility room with washer and dryer. On the second floor there is a second living area with fireplace, 2 double bedrooms, 2 twin bedrooms and a bathroom. The rear of the home opens to upper and lower screen porches with the upper porch enhanced by an open deck and fire pit overlooking the river.
