Indian Shores is a quiet beach community just south of Indian Rocks Beach that is popular with everyone from snowbirds to seabirds. Just 19 blocks long, it is known for its friendly atmosphere, panoramic beaches, great seafood, and tropical wildlife. It is home to the Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary, one of the largest nonprofit bird hospitals in the US, and the fun-filled Splash Harbour Water Park.

The county is completing an emergency beach erosion control project on the beaches in Pinellas County. The next stage is for Indian Shores beaches, which is scheduled for preparations on December 8, 2023, with work beginning on Monday, December 11, 2023. The project is slated to last until January 31, 2024. Beaches will be closed in the area during this time and will not be accessible to guests.

Summary: This house was located right on the beach with access to a pool and grill that we took advantage of daily. The beachy decor inside the home was beautiful. I’d recommend updating the floors. The carpet is worn and dingy. The bathroom sink/vanities are extremely outdated. The kitchen sink area is also very outdated. The home lacked a broom and a laundry basket. Both inexpensive items that would have been extremely convenient to have. There was some kind of construction going on at the property that sounded like constant grinding. At one point it was right above us so we couldn’t even be in our home or on the balcony due to the smoke/dust it created. I’d say this property is okay overall. After staying at other locations close by, it is not comparable unfortunately.
