Summary: I use reviews to book so I like to give really accurate info. I would book this house again (if there were a few very minor changes). Pros: great location right on the ocean, near restaurants and shopping. Good access to the beach and fantastic outdoor spaces. As mosquitos have to be bad in the summer (wetlands abound down here), the screened in porch would be perfect! The porch swings, couches and chairs are all very nice, and the built in bar is perfect for hosting fun. The fridge works well on the porch and the cooking station (didn’t use it) looks awesome. The TV was a nice touch. In other words, the porch and future pool are the highlights. Cons: needs some TLC. We are all over 60 and appreciate nice beds. Most were well used and not very comfortable on our backs. It was cool when we were there and the downstairs got quite cold at night. There’s a space heater in one room but a hallway separates the bedrooms so no sharing. It was also very damp down there. The towels and bath mats never dried. A dehumidifier would make it so much better. Upstairs has a nice living room but some of the lights didn’t work, including the dining room light where we ate most meals and played games. We didn’t ask for help with that so it might have just been bulbs but no replacements were there. Also, kitchen could be better stocked. We found cutting board and knifes in porch but too late. Also no head on outdoor shower or hose for sandy feet. Small details could make this 5 star.
