Beach-A-Holic is a very popular 5 bedroom; 5 and a half bath home located in Island Park Estates with SPECTACULAR VIEWS of the Texas Gulf Coast! Located right behind this home is a private boardwalk to the beach that is golf cart accessible. Enjoy picturesque VIEWS from this waterfront home of the sparkling blue-green waters from your private balcony while relaxing in the Gulf breezes and sipping a Margarita. Put your feet up and know this is the vacation you have been looking for. When you enter this waterfront home; you will find a spacious downstairs living room with a wet bar and two bedrooms. The two bedrooms offer king size beds and flat screen TV's to enjoy during some down time. Each bedroom has it's own full size bathroom. Walk out onto the covered patio and embrace yourself with Beach-A-Holic's PRIVATE SWIMMING POOL. The second floor offers three additional bedrooms; including two master suites. The master suites both offer king size beds; full size bathrooms; flat screen TV's and share an over-sized balcony with AMAZING VIEWS of the gulf. The third bedroom offers three sets of twin over twin bunk beds; and its own full bathroom. As you enter onto the third floor you are welcomed with island style living. You will find a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook up your fresh catch; dining area; and spacious living room that opens to a private balcony with unlimited ocean views. Use the ELEVATOR to get your groceries up to the third story kitchen without breaking a sweat. The home also features two pull out queen sleeper sofas with memory foam mattresses; a large BBQ pit; a TEXAS sized picnic table along with lots of polywood chairs for pool lounging. When you want to compete; check out the ping pong table; dart board or ARCADE game filled with over 60 classic games titles. Wander across the boardwalk; relax and soak up some Port A sunshine; or if activity is what you have in mind; take the short 8 mile drive to Schlitterbahn or head into town to enjoy fine restaurants; local shops or ocean excursions. Summary: We were excited about our stay at this house, as it checked the boxes on a lot of our need and wish-list items. The descriptions are on point in regards to number of rooms, king-beds, bathrooms, etc. And the access to the beach was great (second time staying in this area and the beach was great both times). The kitchen has plenty of dishware and cooking utensils, which exceeded expectations.Where our expectations fell short was the overall cleanliness of the property, quality of furniture, and communication from the management team. We took quite a bit of time wiping down the kitchen, cleaning food/dirt off of the couches, and washing dishes. It looks like the house could use a deep clean (perhaps it wasn't used much over the winter months?) and it did not present well when compared with the price-point of the house. When we arrived the pool was covered in grass clippings, and did not appear to be filtering correctly (water stayed pretty stagnant compared to the pools next door). We called to request this to be looked at, and was told a ticket would be made. No follow-up had happened by Friday afternoon, so I tried to reach management via the Vrbo app. I received a call from management on Saturday morning, and was just told they will note to have the pool cleaned after the lawn is cut in the future, which provided no help for our us. The pool was a reason we chose this property over others, and we never got to use it. Would expect a lot more from a property like this.
