Bay Beach House is perched on a sand dune with spectacular views of the sparkling, clear, blue waters of Peppermint Grove Beach. Walk down to the beach, which is literally on your doorstep, and you can enjoy the long wide stretch of white sand and safe swimming, snorkelling and fantastic fishing just perfect for families. It's not unusual to see a pod of dolphins frolicking in the water in front of you. The beach house has a wide wraparound veranda which is ideal for entertaining or watching the sun set over the Indian Ocean, concrete floors perfect (and sensible) for its beachside location, and is very comfortably furnished throughout with everything you need for your holiday. Even though it is Pet Friendly the property is unfenced.

Summary: Overall it was a good experience - the proximity to the ocean is truly special, as are the views on to it from the living/kitchen space. However it was spoiled by how dirty the rooms are - particularly the sleeping areas. It was lovely having the cozy woodheater in the lounge. But be prepared - you do need to pay for your own wood (!)
