Positive: Well-maintained cottage close to beach, with light and spacious living area and bedrooms.
Negative: Issue #1. Bed linen, towels and tea towels are not provided. When questioned, the managing agent pointed out this is mentioned in the small print at the bottom of the listing. But it is not made obvious up front and this is the first time in many years of booking through Booking.com that these items have not been provided. We did not expect to finish our short break by doing additional laundry! Issue #2. The managing agent required provision of personal identity information over and above that already provided to and held by Booking.com. Again, this was a first for a Booking.com booking. We do not like supplying personal identity data to any company unless we are fully confident of its data security capabilities. Issue #3. The 'No Cancellation' policy. This is not the norm for Booking.com properties we have looked at. We would certainly have cancelled had we noticed sheets and towels would not be provided and we would certainly have cancelled when asked to provide additional personal information. Bottom line: The property was basically as expected but, for the reasons above, we wouldn't consider returning or booking at any other property handled by this managing agent.
