The home is automated via Crestron with a Toolip interface. There are keypads on each of the three floors as well as hand held remotes and the option to download the Crestron and Toolip Apps to allow complete control of the home via your cell phone. The system controls the radiant floor heat, all window treatments, audio / video and all lighting scenes. The lighting system is such that you need not touch a light switch as the rooms are set to different lighting scenes throughout different times of the day and operate on motion detectors. They are set to time out if there is no activity for 20 minutes. Don’t worry that they may come on in the night as they are programmed to stay off during those hours but will feature subtle under cabinet lighting to safely guide you to the bathroom in the middle of the night! You can override the scenes by using the wall switches if needed. Wall switches also control the automated window treatments in every room of the house except the two first-floor guest bedrooms which are operated manually.
