- monthly rentals only until further notice - One of the last real industrial lofts, steps from the famous Notre Dame Basilica, a renovated factory, vaulting at 16 feet high ceiling (2 stories high), 3 huge antique ceiling to floor windows, super centrally located in the heart of old Montreal, walking distance to almost everything, grand, charming & unique! this loft is not for people seeking luxury, it is a clean and comfortable true loft experience for those who appreciate unique stays! it's a genuine old industrial space, with very high ceiling (16 ft), two huge brick walls from beginning to end, and a big second floor on which you have a spacious king bedroom and two extra single beds, the whole bordered by a balcony that gives on the main floor. The main floor is a huge open loft concept, with a bathroom (bathtub and shower), an open kitchen, a foyer and a second bedroom. some furniture are handmade and each piece carries its own story, the huge windows are sublime and give tones of daylight, sit by one of them, sip on your wine and people watch! it's a happy place with lots of chilling spots:) PARKING: we can rent you our private parking spots, for outdoor 35$/day, or for underground $40/day, both with in and out privileges, about 2 minutes walk from the apart, but please request it when you book or we can't guarantee availability. Or you can choose from the numerous overnight parking facilities nearby, about 28$ per day with no in and out privileges, just be careful and leave nothing in the cars. NEIGHBORHOOD: Can't beat the location, the neighborhood is all you're looking for when you're in Montreal, it's the magical old town, often called the open museum of Canada, and your loft is right in the middle of it. you're literally seconds away from the famous notre dame basilica and the lively historical st paul street, minutes from the old port and the waterfront where you can pic-nic on the lush green well preserved outdoor. you're also 5 minutes walking distance from Chinatown, the convention centre (palais des congres), downtown, the famous place Jaque Cartier plaza, the skating arena in winter, cirque du soleil in summer etc... bars, pubs, clubs, creative eateries and restaurants, unique boutiques and shopping are literally at your doorstep. you are also 5 minutes walking distance to place du spectacle where many major events take place in summer time. you are also 5 minutes walking to the science centre and the historic marche bonsecours in the old port. GETTING AROUND: Very simple and practical, the metro station (place d'armes) is 3 minutes walking distance, or metro champs de mars (8 minutes), Bixy station (public bicycle rentals) is right down the street from your building in summer time, and the bus 55 that will take you uptown and Plateau area stops right at your front door, and of course you're on one of the busiest street so taxis are always a whistle away or you can always call for an Uber:) We wish you a very happy stay, full of love and great souvenirs:) michel and cynthia
