Positive: The location is just outside Split and near the highway, airport and other areas. The view right from the apartment itself over the Adriatic sea is fantastic The hosts are very kind, generous, helpful, and knowledgeable about the area. We even got a free ride to the airport (about a 20-minute drive) to pick up our rental car. The breakfasts were very good: always fresh with fruits, bread, cheeses and different meats. There's also room for special requests like cereals. On a daily basis, we could request the time the breakfasts could be brought to us, which made planning trips on the spot so much easier. The apartment itself is spacious and has almost all the facilities you'd want. Every room, including the living room/kitchen area, has air conditioners. There are two bathrooms, so two toilets and two basins with mirrors and cupboards. There's a dishwasher, washing machine, and enough washing lines to dry the clothes. The beds were very good, and there were plenty of sheets and blankets for all the necessities. Each bedroom has its wardrobe. The apartment is by the street but has its own gates and front yard with a playground for children. There are four doors/gates, so there are enough lockable areas to ensure the safety of children to play by themselves outside without them running on the street. They have toys for children, so your children won't have to bring their own. There's free parking around the apartment, and there's always someplace you can park your car.
Negative: The name Villa Bepe is not displayed on the building. However, the host already expected our arrival and was looking for us, so that sorted itself out. There was a misunderstanding regarding the included breakfast service. However, we sorted it out with our host. The air conditioner in the master bedroom was really noisy and sometimes gave off strange smells. It probably needs maintenance or something. As we managed to sleep through it, we decided not to bring it to the attention of our hosts as we didn't want the maintenance happening during our stay. However, fixing that issue can definitely improve the experience for guests. The sink of one of the two bathrooms had a leakage. However, our host was available immediately and solved it on the same day. During our entire stay, there was a leakage problem in the bathroom with the bathtub. The leakage made it dangerous to use the bathtub because of electricity and it caused a nasty sewage smell, so we could only safely and comfortably use one bathroom for bathing. The shower cabinet of the other bathroom is very small. The hosts have a locked room inside the apartment with personal belongings, and I didn't like that. Outside and next to the kitchen and living room is a football playground. Almost every night during our stay, it was heavily used by many neighbourhood children. So during most days of our stay in the evenings and sometimes even nights, it was really noisy, and it felt like we were next to an elementary school's playground. Sometimes, during the evening, people around the neighbourhood would sit in front of the gates or climb over the fences to access the apartment's private front yard. One time, I had to ask people sitting and picnicking on the steps of the front gate to move away as they blocked our access to the property. To top it off, they were the ones looking very annoyed by our request to move away.
