Summary: Our stay at Apartments Indepencia was very good. Check in was a little complicated. There are 2 buildings and the second building is where you check in. We did not have our booking id, only the itinerary number from hotels.com, so we had to contact the property to get the booking id. But once we had that the self check in was pretty easy. The apartment itself was very nice. It was very clean. 2 bedrooms, kitchen, living area and bathroom. The shower is very small but it worked. There is no laundry, but there is a laundromat across the street. The location is very close to 2 metro stations and plenty of shops and restaurants. The balcony is small but it was nice to have. There were no kitchen linens (towels, oven mitts, etc.) so if we had used the oven it would have been difficult to remove anything hot. The oven rack also did not fit into the oven correctly. There was a kettle to heat water but no coffee pot. But there are coffee shops less than a block away. They clean after 5 days of your stay, but we had to call and request that they come and clean and replace our towels. I would very much recommend Apartments Indepencia for a stay in Barcelona.
