Part of the farm is from the 16th century , three rooms have been add in the 19 century and 10 years ago we modernised it with all the confort keeping the originality of the place. The full space is 160m2 or 1700 sq ft . Every room is on the ground floor.
The living room is big (688 sq ft ), clear with a sofa bed for two and a single bed . The dinning room is also big (600 sq ft) and cozy with a single bed. The kitchen ( 215 sq ft) is practical open to the vegetable garden and the patio orientated to the south . The main bedroom ( 260 sq ft) with its bathroom is facing south and west like the kitchen accessible also from the living room . An other smaller bed room is accessible from the outside next to the main bedroom .
The House called "Bretou' is next to Montbreton . Our main activity is the vegetable garden and a sheep farm . The property has a parc , a forest, some cereal field , the location is unique. The place has always been inhabited and traces of occupation is still visible everywhere in the surrounding.

Il se situe près de Mareuil, dans une splendide campagne calme et reposante du Périgord vert. Les gîtes sont tout confort et offre un séjour détente pour toute la famille: Piscine partagée et sécurisée, grands espaces avec aires de jeux ,tennis , ping pong , prêt de vélos... Et à l'automne vient la saison des champignons très prisés dans notre région! Un chemin de randonnée et cyclable borde la propriété pour faire de superbes balades. De nombreuses visites (grottes, musée de la truffe ou du Cognac, châteaux, abbayes...) et activités plein air (kanoës, accrobranche…) sont accessibles a peu de distance. Les villes d’art et d’histoire comme Brantôme (la Venise du Périgord), Nontron (Capital du couteau), Aubeterre, Villebois-Lavalette, Cognac, Périgueux et Angoulême sont proches. En plus du marchés traditionnels tous les mardi , les marchés aux truffes et foie gras sauront vous ravir de novembre à février. Nous sommes à votre disposition pour vous faire découvrir et aimer le Périgord (sa gastronomie, ses sites...) Le gîte du "Bretou" à la décoration soignée, meubles et objets antiques , tout confort est équipé d'une terrasse privée, mais vous pourrez tout aussi bien profiter de l'ambiance chaleureuse de son patio afin de prolonger vos soirées. Draps fournis et lits faits à votre arrivée. Linge de toilette fourni. Gîte non fumeur. Animaux peuvent être admis après accord.
