Perched up high, overlooking the harbour and just a 5 minute walk from the hustle of the town centre is this cottage. Follow the stone steps leading up from Church Street and you are rewarded with views right along the river Esk, from the new bridge over to the swing bridge and the harbour mouth beyond. You can also watch the creation of Whitby's newest fishing boats at the boat yard just opposite. The property is set over three floors, with lovely views from the large windows. The outside seating area at the front make it perfect for catching rays of sunshine while having a morning coffee, or evening tea. There is a flight of stone steps leading up to the property. Outside there is a small seating area with a bench overlooking the river Esk. Entering the property you are welcomed into the cosy living/dining room, all newly decorated yet retaining its charm with exposed brick work. There are two sofas and a TV/DVD, as well as a dining table. Steps leading from the living area lead up to the house shower room with a walk in shower, WC and hand basin. A second set of steps from the living room leads to the kitchen. The staircase in the living room leads up to the 1st floor with a double bedroom with views of the river/harbour. There is a winding staircase up to the second floor, where there is a large family room with a double and a single bed. Breakfast bar style seating is at the large window with panoramic views. There is also a WC and hand basin Approx 29 steps lead to this property, alternatively the property can be accessed from Green Lane via a pathway. GROUND FLOOR: Lounge/Diner: TV with Freeview, DVD.
