Positive: The home we stayed in at Il Mirto was new and very clean. We particularly appreciated the privacy, ample private outdoor space, the comfort of the bed and having an equipped kitchen. There was plenty of hot water and never a problem with heating on chillier days. The hosts, Emilia & Sergio are generous, amiable and responsive. They provided us with anything extra we needed for cooking and also with good recommendations on places to visit in the area.
Negative: Unfortunately, the outdoor swimming pool at Il Mirto was not open yet during our stay (season begins on May 31). As far as the location is concerned, it is quite remote in the countryside, which means you must have a car, of course, but also that grocery shopping and restaurants in general entail some research and trial & error. However, the location is close to many beautiful villages, beaches, landscapes and sites of cultural/artistic value. It is advisable to be attentive — esp. at night — when turning from the main road to the one that leads to the smaller paths which lead to the property. And likewise when heading out from the village road before the turn to the main road. The owners will provide detailed instructions on how to reach the property.
