It all seemed a little mysterious to me, but then I visited the property and I have to admit, it became much clearer. This incredible rental property is hidden on 14 acres of magical mountain property. Outside there are woods to explore and places to hike, ponds and streams to reflect by, and even a labyrinth that provides the perfect maze for contemplation and meditation. Extensive decking connects the house to nature in an almost mystical way that brings the outdoors to you. This cozy house offers an open floor plan with a generous kitchen, ample dining area and comfortable living room that features a large stone fireplace. Enjoy WIFI, cable TV and private sleeping for 4. Love Berkana but need more space? Look for Berkana and the Guest House and share the experience. Summary: Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at Berkana in January and had a lovely time. The natural light, kitchen amenities, and the labyrinth out back were the highlights. We cook a lot when we travel, and the kitchen had just about everything we needed (pots and pans, basic seasonings, cutlery, dishes, etc.). The house was very comfortable and a great basecamp for us as we hiked, snowshoed, and tubed. One note is that the house is in a community that requires 4-wheel drive or tire chains, which we didn't know when we made our reservation. Luckily we were able to get around the snowy roads okay in our hatchback, but it would have been nice to have more clearance on the unpaved roads.
