Positive: Yiannis was such a generous host providing lots of snacks and a lovely bottle of wine. He also provided a fantastic map and circled all the best beaches to visit depending on the winds, which was most helpful. The home is very spacious, full of character (make sure you check out the old photos of Milos), freshly painted and has fabulous views! The kitchen is very well equipped, full of supplies and the bathrooms were also equipped with lots of extra supplies. We enjoyed having breakfast in the little outdoor seating nook up the stairs, and we also loved watching the sunsets and having a drink from this seating area as well. Make sure you also go up the next flight of stairs to the rooftop to see an amazing 360 view! The villa is very well located in a quite part of Adamas, private, close to a supermarket and it is a quick and easy walk to the restaurants. Just be mindful that the supermarket is not open on Sunday. If you are there on a Sunday and don't feel like dining out, there is a beautiful bakery downtown that sells lots of delicious savoury pastries such as spanakopita and tiropita, orange pie and other desserts, as well as a very good Greek salad and chopped up watermelon. That got us by on our first night which happened to be a Sunday. We enjoyed a beautiful dinner at Nostos - fresh modern Greek food and excellent service. Yiannis also had some more traditional restaurant suggestions. When not dining out at night, we loved sitting at the outside dining table and taking in the view. There is heaps of room to park your car and if catching the Seajet out of Milos, it is very convenient to be able to drop your car off at downtime Adamas. We did a private boat cruise with Excellent Yachting. Would definitely recommend them. Very professional.
Negative: Would have been great to have a washing machine but we were aware of this, so we washed before and after our visit. The floor felt a little dusty to walk on, however the bathrooms and kitchen were very clean. (Perhaps this is just a Milos issue as it does get very dusty on the island.) The main bathroom could benefit with an exhaust as the condensation builds up when showering, even with the window left open slightly. We showered with the window wide open to prevent this and were mindful not to have the water too hot. These were just minor issues and we would definitely recommend this beautiful home to friends and family. Thank you Yiannis!
