Positive: This is a very nice, new, modern basement apartment. We liked almost everything, except for one issue: we requested early check-in and an extra bed. The host confirmed a 10:00 a.m. check-in, so we arrived early. Later we received a message that came across as a bit rude—basically saying check-in starts at 2 p.m. and implying we misunderstood because of our English. I understand mistakes happen, but it would be better to communicate with guests more politely and in a more customer-friendly way. Another point: the lock jammed once, and again we felt like we were being blamed for using it “wrong.” Please be more welcoming. Also, the gate in the listing photos doesn’t match the actual gate. When you arrive and see a different gate, you start wondering if you’re at the right place. On top of that, Google Maps leads to a different nearby street, so it took some effort to find the address. It would really help to have some kind of marker on the gate—even a small star or sign—since many houses on the street look the same. Overall, the apartment itself was great. We asked for a hair dryer and received one promptly, which we appreciated. Thank you, and we wish the hosts all the best.
