Just 90 minutes from Melbourne CBD this self contained Bed and Breakfast retreat has it all. Whether you need a romantic well deserved holiday in the picturesque countryside, close to the mountains and the Yarra Valley, or you wish to explore our region, Marysville, Lake Mountain and all the attractions, then Acheron Ridge is the place to make it a lifetime memory. The majestic views and tranquillity will stay with you way beyond when you leave us and the riverfront provides beautiful walks, amazing fishing and some wonderful spots to sit, relax, read a book, or watch some of our amazing local wildlife enjoy their day. This lovely recently built cottage whilst quaint and boutique is luxurious throughout. The decking and seating area is ideal for the stunning mountain views, breakfast, dinner or just a bottle of wine or great tasting produce from a local winery or eatery. A large sitting area, fully appointed kitchen, a laundry, and the luxurious shower room make your stay a joy of comfort. Whilst the spacious bedroom with its King size bed and spectacular views will ensure a great sleep and pure relaxation! Acheron Ridge accommodation provides real privacy and tranquillity. With just the one cottage sleeping just two, and set in its own cottage garden on a 30 acre riverfront country estate with the most amazing mountain views, it really does have it all. With great facilities this well appointed cottage is luxurious, romantic, cosy and comfortable for stays long or short. Quality linen and its highly comfortable luxurious king bed look out onto the most amazing mountain ridge views. The adjacent and private access riverfront is ideal for relaxing, fishing or taking a stroll with the wildlife and enjoying a romantic *campfire at night underneath the stars. The daily fresh breakfast package is sourced from local farms and produce stores (where possible) and includes: Freshly baked bread Freshly laid farm eggs Bacon and tomatoes Jams and preserves An assortment of coffee, teas and hot chocolate Bottled spring water Selection of milks Spreads and biscuits Chocolate treats alternatives by arrangement Local cafes, restaurants, wineries and produce stores provide excellent dining options in the comfort of your cottage or out and about with Marysville and Alexandra only a short trip away. Kangaroos, Wallabies and Wombats are seen on its banks and in the adjacent countryside, whilst Koalas and an enormous amount of beautiful birdlife visit the variety of trees. The amazing fauna changes with the seasons and with it the wonderful scents of the pristine country setting. Fish of all sorts and sizes can be seen in the shallower waters and a shy little Platypus has been regularly spotted along the banks. Bring your walking shoes, fishing tackle, a good book, art easel, binoculars, and camera. The river provides hours of fun, fresh air and pure relaxation as makes the perfect romantic picnic or *campfire spot.
