Positive: The staff we met were all very nice. The main parts of the hotel…lobby, bar, common seating areas were all very nice.
Negative: The room lacked any amenities expected for a hotel where you are spending upwards for $400 (one night was over $500). There was one small container of lotion on the counter. No Q tip, no robe, no shower curtain. I have stayed at 2 star places that even give you makeup remover wipes. There was a flashing light on the ceiling all night long. The street noise is incredibly loud and ongoing for most of the night. Valet at $48 a night is really presented as the only option, and no where is it mentioned about the cost nor does anyone bother to tell you. When I asked upon checkout, I was shown a sign, which is not by the valet where you might expect it, but in the walkway between two doors dividing the outside and the lobby. And this was after being supposedly upgraded to a better room because of Marriott status.
