This Cabine is ideally suited for a couple looking for a Romantic getaway or a quiet, peaceful hideaway or an activity-filled time out on the water. Being only a few metres from the water's edge of the St. George's Basin, there are superb water views as you literally have a bird's-eye view of native water birds, fish (jumping out of the water), passing kangaroos, ducks, the odd echidna passing through and a resident bandicoot. Cabine Algarve was named for the province in Portugal from which one of the owners originated. So the decor of the 'Cabine' displays some mementos from the Algarve. The 'Cabine' features a cosy bedroom with a comfortable double bed and wardrobes; the bathroom is supplied with white plush towels; a well-equipped kitchen with capsule coffee machine and milk frother, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, electric cooktop and wall oven; air-conditioning in the combined dining and living area with TV and DVD player. There is also a modest selection of books, magazines, games and jigsaw puzzles. We are unable to provide Internet/WiFi. A barbeque is provided on the rear patio by the water's edge and dining 'Al Fresco' is under cover. Guests also have the use of a two person kayak, to enjoy a lazy paddle around St. Georges Basin or a quiet fishing expedition to catch fresh fish for your dinner. If you bring your own boat - there is also a mooring available to anchor a boat of 5 metres in length or less. For the Romantic: Complimentary wine and chocolates for those booking a 2 night stay or longer. The 'Cabine' also has basic tea and coffee supplies. Parking is provided on site adjacent to the Cabine. Guests are welcome to leave their vehicle here at all times including, load and unload from their vehicle upon arrival/departure. Guests are asked to please drive carefully along our driveway for our safety and please be aware that our dog often lies on the driveway. Please note that vehicular access is through a set of gates which requires guests to open and close. If this is found to be inconvenient parking is also available some 20 metres from the Cabine on the property so please allow for a walk of this distance down a sloping path. For this reason the Cabine may not suitable for a person with walking difficulties or a disability. Rates and Conditions The 'Cabine' has one double bed and accommodates 1 or 2 adults. The 'Cabine' is not suitable for children, therefore we cannot allow any children to stay as guests. The property cannot accommodate any pets as there is not a separate secure area. As the 'Cabine' is also recently renovated it is preferable that pets do not stay in the 'Cabine'. The owners live on the site in a separate residence along with an elderly dog. The owners ask that guests please respect their privacy and please be aware of the dog and close gates, when arriving and departing. Check in time is normally 2pm, with departure by 10am. These times may be varied following prior arrangements with the owners, at least one week in advance of your stay. Please Note that we do not provide a "24 hour" concierge service and Guests are requested to Checkin no later than 8pm on the day of arrival. A 25 percent (non-refundable) deposit is required to confirm a booking with the balance payable 14 days prior to arrival. A Refundable damage deposit is required at the time of the Balance Payable. Bookings can only be confirmed by the owners. There is no additional charge for Bed Linen and Towels. A one hour standard hygiene clean is also included. Erowal Bay and Surrounds Erowal Bay, on the St. Georges Basin, is ideal for many water activities such as Fishing, Prawning, Water Skiing, Swimming, Kayaking; There are local tennis courts for hire; the Erowal Bay General Store is not only well stocked with grocery items, liquor, fishing tackle and bait but is also a newsagent as well as a Post Office and Cafe. Erowal Bay has a Public Jetty beside the Boat Ramp, so launching and retrieving your boat is safe and easy. The Boat Ramp is only 450 metres down the road. Cycling around the St. Georges Basin offers many picturesque scenes as well as lots of fresh air. Jervis Bay, within a 10 minute drive, is also renowned for Whale/Dolphin watch cruises; Hyams Beach for its white sandy beaches, National Parks, Botanic Gardens and Historical sites and Museums. There are also dive schools, boat, canoe and scooter hire. Supermarket shopping is available in Vincentia, within 8 minutes' drive. Huskisson is within 15 minutes drive. There are also several golf courses in the area. A wide variety of cafes, restaurants and clubs cater to all tastes and budgets.
