The country-style, well-equipped kitchen includes a large dining table. Upstairs, there are two beautiful bedrooms offering delightful countryside views; a double is located on the first floor and on the second floor there is a king-size double which can be made into a twin room on request. Outside, there is roadside parking and an enclosed pretty patio garden. Aban Cottage provides the perfect base for a wonderful holiday. Amenities: Electric central heating with woodburning stove. Two excellent inns - one of which sells local produce - make up the settlement's amenities, but just three miles away is the prestigious market town of Helmsley, with its historic market square surrounded by hotels, shops and tea-rooms. The town boasts a 12th century castle whilst the English Heritage site, Rievaulx Abbey, is also close by. The outlying area is excellent walking country and ramblers can enjoy exploring the surrounding moors with their hidden dales and villages.
