Extremely convenient surroundings. We're situated on Bourke St, just off the corner of Russell & Bourke. Only 2 steps away from Chinatown and a 5min walk to Bourke St Mall! With the convenience of an abundance of cafes and eateries at your door step, this modern inner-city abode offers convenience and quality living at it's finest!
You're also only a stone's throw away from QV, Swanston St, Myer, David Jones, Emporium, GPO Melbourne, Melbourne Central and more.
Bourke St is also famous for it's street performers, attracting some of the city’s best musicians and artists to its spacious pedestrian precincts. Competition for the best spots is intense, so the standard of performance is generally high, making it a favourite hangout for locals to while away a couple of hours with some great free entertainment.
There are tons of things to do in the city itself which are mostly a quick stroll away.
I've included most of my favorite places and more in my extensive "Local Recommendations Guidebook" on this listings page, so please feel free to check em' out for awesome things to do and eat in the CBD area.
Getting Around:
Easy. Surrounded by trams, cabs, buses & trains, it makes getting in, out & around the city extremely convenient.
If you're not a fan of walking, there is a tram stop right outside the building on Bourke St.
Most importantly, all trams within the city grid are FREE. Just look out for the "FREE tram zone" signs.
No problems hitching a cab or getting on a bus at the front door on Bourke St if you would like to head out of the city.
If you plan to take a train, Melbourne Central or Flinders St Station are only just a 10min stroll away on either side.
If you drive, the nearest paid parking lots are available just up the road from us at “SECURE PARKING” - 129 Bourke St. Alternatively you may look online for other suitable parking options.
If you just need to park your car temporarily for an hour or so, then you may observe the paid street parking signs around us.
Other Things to Note:
This is a private unit ALL TO YOURSELF and you WON'T be sharing this with any strangers during your stay.
This pad accommodates 4 adults comfortably but a max of 6 overnight. Any more than 4 adult guests overnight will attract an extra $14 per night, per additional guest.
The sleeping arrangement for the 5th and 6th adult would be on a 3-seater sofa bed which folds out to a double with extra quilts, pillows, sheets & covers.

The apartment unit will be vacant (Furnished of course along with the amenities) and it's a private self-contained fully serviced unit ALL TO YOURSELF. You WON'T be sharing it with any strangers during your stay.

Summary: Stayed for 9 nights in June. The apartment is pretty much as described and as pictured. It's nice, on a high floor with a great view. The location is ideal for exploring the CBD. Beds are comfy. Generally good place! We had some minor issues with cleanliness (I think we were the first to vacuum under/behind the couch in months). We had problems with payment, as there was no evidence through VRBO that the automatically scheduled payments were made, so we felt that we didn't know for sure that we had the place officially reserved. Advante Homes absolutely needs to do better at that. We were only provided a single set of keys, in spite of a request for a second set. This was noted in a previous review. We needed to pick up keys a mile away from the apartment. Not the end of the world, as there's a free tram that takes you from the one place to the other, but not so ideal if you have luggage. When we arrived, the laundry was left running (dryer full of sheets and towels, but washer also running for hours after check-in—what am I supposed to do with wet laundry? Leave it for 9 days to get moldy? So, to not be jerks, we finished doing their laundry. Not ideal. In short, it's a great place, but Advante Homes doesn't seem too professional a management company.
