The Retreat is a luxury couple s haven located 40 minutes south of Hobart, very close to the small hamlet of Woodbridge and artisan village of Cygnet.
Exclusively yours, this unique self contained cottage is a romantic getaway that will feel like your own country home away from home. Sitting in a pretty native garden with private access.
The Retreat features a luxurious King Size Bed and stunning en-suite. Gorgeous self catering kitchen with a welcome hamper for the weary traveler, including breakfast provisions to help you start your day exploring the region.

The Retreat started it s life as a working man s cottage in Tarraleah during the construction of the Hydroelectric Scheme in the 1930 s. Transported to the property in the late 1990 s, spent the next 20 years converted into a tractor shed. Two years ago my husband and I fell in love with and purchased this beautiful property, converting the tractor shed and creating a luxurious getaway for 2.
Nearby is the artisan village of Cygnet with an assortment of lovely cafes, shops, galleries, markets and many essential services such as a post office, petrol station, pubs and bottle shops.
Cygnet is also home to the world famous Cygnet folk festival, which is held every January. The retreat is also close to the natural wonders of Bruny Island and some of the most pristine beaches in the world, amazing walks, national parks and many other local attractions.
