Positive: Gorgeous retro beach house with the right mix of old & new. Loved the modern kitchen, & the original tiles still on the bathroom floor. Nice & airy with large screened windows & ceiling fans, & privacy screens/awnings on windows. The ping pong table was a huge bonus! Location is fantastic, we could walk into town, to Woolies, restaurants, coffee shops & the beach & creek. Well equipped with lots of cutlery, crockery & cookware, which was great, but see below regarding crockery. Location is great, with lovely gardens & sneaky sea views. ❤️
Negative: Nothing major, however small things that can inconvenience families. The ceiling fans were very dirty. There are no wardrobes at all. . The driveway is very difficult to get into - we have a Ute & trailer for kayaks, bikes & SUP, but it was quite difficult to get the trailer safely in & out. The driveway is very narrow & a family sized car is unable to park in the front carpark due to narrow access. There is a back room that can be used as another living room/bedroom but there was evidence of rodents in there so we didn't use it at all. Only 1 of the 3 TV's worked for free to air or streaming services. We couldn't get the other 2 to tune into free to air or to be able to use our own streaming service log ins. Minor inconvenience only - we played games & read books, & were mostly at the beach. Take your own dishes if you want to use the microwave, as the crockery provided is silver rimmed & cannot be used in the microwave.
