This 30-acre private paradise offers a peaceful retreat away from high-rise hotels and crowded tourist areas, yet remains close to world-class beaches and golf, unique shopping, and fabulous dining in Kaanapali and Kapalua. While the devastating 2023 fires destroyed historic Lahaina Town and impacted 40% of Puamana’s oceanfront community, including our historic Clubhouse and some homes directly next to and behind this property, Hale Nalu and the southern side of Puamana were spared, offering a safe and serene haven amidst a community in recovery.
Despite these challenges, Puamana retains its charm and unique amenities. Guests can swim at the Dolphin Pool, play tennis or pickleball, or take a three minute stroll to the shoreline, where the presence of sand varies with the tides and ocean conditions. Summary: Loved our stay in Lahaina. The property managers were so gracious and happy to have guests back after fire and wanted us to let them know what might be needed. They were great about taking care of the few things we found. Reading some of the previous previews from before - wanted to say, there is a flashlight in closet, 4 beach chairs, 2 recliners (anti-gravity) 3 boogie boards, cooler...all of which we enjoyed. the pool was just a few houses down and very comfortable and relaxing. Really enjoyed in the morning and evening going down a short walk to shoreline and watching the waves and whales. Take you binoculars! So fun!!Enjoyed eating at the Aloha Plate in Lahiana-great food and prices decent. We actually stopped at Costco and picked up food so ate at the property most days. Great Weber grill and the kitchen was very well stocked. As far a condements there was salt and pepper. Also enjoyed the panini grill-worked great!Would recommend a fan in the guest bathroom as it does get pretty humid in there after a shower. Overall tho the bathrooms were very nice. Adequate counter space, very roomy shower with great water pressure. The hardest thing for us was not having a bathroom upstairs. The upstairs was very nice and roomy, watch out for corners tho! :) However we are all in our 70's and so I think that is more of an issure for us at night then for a family or younger couples. Great place to enjoy Hawaii and have quiet and have some R & R
