Wonderful location in peaceful setting yet close to centre of old medieval town, perfect for exploring this region with its many tourist attractions and rich gastronomy. Just 60 min. from Grenoble, beside river Isère, between Rhône valley, Vercors foothills and the Drôme des Collines. Close to some famous tourist attractions: collegiate church of Saint Barnard, Jacquemart Tower, International Shoe Museum, Shoe visitor centre. Stroll along little pedestrianised streets in historic centre (lots of shops & restaurants). 30 min. away: Valence (rivalling Romans), Hauterives (Palais Idéal du Facteur Cheval), abbey of Saint-Antoine, Tain l'Hermitage (wines). Be sure to sample some 'pogne', a local speciality (crown shaped brioche flavoured with orange blossom water).
