Summary: We came down to Destin via car ride from Iowa, a 16+ hour car ride. We were traveling with my 1 year old son, so with it being that long of a trip, we decided to drive through the night, with an arrival time in Destin around 10am. I had reached out to the management team to see if it would be possible to check in any sooner than 4pm as we would've been traveling all night prior and would've liked to get in and washed up and settled. Unfortunately, we were told that we could not check in any sooner as it is "busy season", which is understandable but still not ideal. Thankfully we had friends staying nearby and we were able to go to their place to freshen up. We had issues getting in to the house as the provided garage code did not work. Thankfully the code provided for the front door worked. We then got inside and were very pleased with how clean the place was. The kitchen was not as "stocked" as we would have liked. I have been in plenty of other VRBO's that had plenty more in the kitchen to offer, such as salt/pepper, napkins, mixing bowls. We noticed while making breakfast the one morning, that one of the pans leaked where the rivets met the handle, leading to eggs leaking all over the stove. We also noticed while driving on the golf cart the first night, that the headlights were out. I tried calling customer service that next day to inform them of the golf cart lights and the garage code that didn't work. I was told that they would send someone out to come look at the golf cart and that I would receive a call back regarding the garage code. Neither of these things happened. The garage code wasn't a huge issue, but with the golf cart lights not working, we had to make sure we didn't take it out past sunset, which was inconvenient. Overall, it was a good place to stay, cleanliness, location and price-wise, but it could use improvement in other aspects.
