Positive: The mattresses and the bed linens were very comfy, and we liked that there were two kings, two queens, and two twins. That was perfect for our two families. The main bedroom had a really comfy chaise lounge, and the living room furniture was also very comfortable.There were ample towels, which were of good quality, and beds and couches had lots of pillows. The house was located near restaurants, shopping, and local attractions, which was nice. The house was beautifully decorated for fall and had nice amenities (though not necessarily of the quality shown or expected for the price). The game room had nice options from arcade to air hockey to board games, etc. The house had lots of smart tvs, in the bedrooms, living rooms, downstairs, etc., so that was appreciated. The managing company was quick to respond to text messages, but not really quick to do anything besides apologize.
Negative: The listing makes it seem like more bedrooms have access to bathrooms, but in reality, four bedrooms share a tiny bathroom annexed to the twin bedroom. This was very inconvenient and unexpected based on the pictures. The half bath was off the kitchen, and the other main bathroom was in the basement. The house, especially the bedrooms, had a lady bug infestation, like a lot of lady bugs on the curtains, in the corners of the ceilings, and on some of the beds. We also had to kill some random other bugs during our stay, including spiders, roaches, and stink bugs, and when I turned on the jets in the soaker tub, live bugs came out, which ruined my anticipated bath experience. Some light fixtures were missing bulbs or batteries to make them work. The kitchen had some basic items but was missing others. It had salt but not pepper, no ice cream scoop, limited silverware and dishes considering the number of beds, etc. The kitchen table and some of the handrails had tacky feeling paint. The main bedroom's bathroom had some plumbing issues, like the bathtub faucet handle fell off and one of the sinks only had hot water not cold, so I scalded myself washing my hands. The air hockey and foosball tables were rickety, and there were basketballs but no hoops. The basement had a mildew smell. The outdoor furniture cushions were mildewed or covered in cobwebs. There was damage to the basement wall behind the couch, and one of the big leather chairs upstairs tipped forward when anyone tried to sit in them. I paid more for a three-night stay than I do for my monthly mortgage, and I did it expecting luxury based on the listing and pictures, so it was a little disappointing.
