Carefree Cottage offers an exceptional location in a peaceful neighborhood close to major attractions w/ only a short walk to the Mountains to Sea Trail (MST) & BRP Visitor Ctr. (via trail at end of dead end street). This quaint cottage built in 1930, updated with a new master suite and kitchen in 2011, is a wonderful combination of a traditional Bed & Breakfast (without the breakfast) and a vacation rental home. The B&B characteristics of Carefree Cottage are it's historic charm, bountiful hospitality and accommodating hosts: both the live-in hostess Cindy & the off-site property owners Jay & Susan believe they have been blessed w/ Carefree Cottage to share it as a blessing to others. Our "Premier Host" status on VRBO is an honor & could not have been achieved without Cindy our "delightful", "discreet" "helpful" (see guest reviews) hostess who lives in the 3rd bedroom in the back of the house & provides you with those little extras that make a vacation getaway special: a lovely goodie basket, coffee, tea, & condiments and extras you might need from additional face cloths to more lighting (for crafters) to replacing misplaced toothbrush & toothpaste. If you have any concerns about having someone living in the house please read the 5 Star reviews previous guests have written in regard to Cindy, especially the fact that she insures your privacy by seldom being at the cottage & not use any common areas when she's there except the main bathroom which she cleans immediately after use (so you get the benefit of the main bathroom being cleaned regularly during your stay). Cindy is gone from early morning to later in the evening and will only check in with you briefly to make sure you have all you need and answer any questions/ make recommendations. The other significant benefit provided by Cindy is that she's a professional cleaner who makes sure the house is immaculate and in compliance w/ COVID-19 guidelines; she also provides professional cleaning products under the sinks in the kitchen and bathrooms for your comfort. As a vacation rental, Carefree Cottage offers you an entire house: comfortable living room, sizable dining room, well-equipped kitchen, 2 private decks w/ chairs & tables & propane grill, a large secluded front porch w/ porch swing & 2 rocking chairs, and lovely gardens. Imagine enjoying outdoor dining or morning coffee on either of the decks or the front porch listening to the abundant song birds. Then there's the master suite with a queen size bed, its own bathroom, walk-in closet (w/ extra blankets & pillows), a writing desk, rocking chair and luggage stand. And the second bedroom has two extra long twins that can be made into a king, 2 closets, one w/ a dresser and 1 w/ a bookshelf (both with ample hangers & hanging space), benches and a luggage stand. The second bedroom shares the large main bathroom (where the full sized washer & dryer are available for your use) w/ Cindy our hostess (she immediately cleans the bathroom after her use). Carefree Cottage also has free, reliable Wi-Fi, a 42" flat screen TV, ample DVD library, Blu-ray player, and Apple TV to access your streaming accounts. We look forward to hosting you!
