The house is in a quiet area next to the church and benefits from a large enclosed garden with woodland areas and lots of space for the children to run and play. The main house has a large open plan living, dining and kitchen area with wonderful large windows that overlook the garden. The seaside town of Scarborough is just 8 miles away and is a traditional resort with two large beaches and plenty for all age groups to do. Lawnswood is just two miles from the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, where there are fantastic walks and trails that lead up to the Dalby Forest. The forest is famous for its bike trails and in the past has been home to the World Championship Mountain Bike event. The visitor centre within the forest is popular all year round with its great café and the events that are organised for the children throughout the year. It’s also home to “Go Ape”, a high ropes adventure course with zip wires and swings. Lawnswood is a perfect base to visit the Yorkshire Wolds, the North Yorkshire Moors and the East Yorkshire Coast.
